Tuesday Bird Droppings: Where it’s time for the All Star Game!

The All Star Game is tonight. Enjoy watching Manny Machado in an Orioles uniform because it might be the last time.

Happy day two with no Orioles baseball! Did you watch the home run derby last night? I feel like the cool kids act like the home run derby isn’t very fun or worth watching, but I don’t even care. I am a fan. I rooted against Bryce Harper the entire time, but it was useless. He was dressed up like the American flag, by the way.

With the HR derby out of the way, tonight is the All Star Game. Manny Machado is the starting shortstop for the American League, the lone representative for the Orioles. But weirdly he might not even play another game as an Oriole after tonight.

When do you think the big trade will go down? And who will be the winner?

Is today your birthday? Happy birthday! You have zero Orioles birthday buddies! That’s sad. It is the birthday of Camilla Parker Bowles, so you have that going for you.

On this day in 1991, Sam Horn became the first non-pitcher to strike out six times in one game. It did take him 15 innings, in fairness.
