Remember when the Orioles were, seemingly, the only team that the Yankees could beat? Good times. New York has now won six straight games against Baltimore and show no signs of slowing down.
The Bronx Bombers have needed every one of those victories. The Oakland Athletics remain hot on their heels for that top wild card spot. Both teams are going to the postseason. It’s now just a matter of where that win-or-go-home game will be played: Yankee Stadium or the Oakland Coliseum?
Despite all of the disappointment that this season has had, the O’s have one final shot at a spoiler role, and that comes today. A win could send their division rivals on the road. Yet another loss could mean smooth sailing for a vaunted foe.
