Saturday night game thread: at Rockies, 9:10

Baltimore will look to move on from a disappointing finish in the series opener and even the set with the Rockies tonight.

After another series got off to a bad start, it’s time to see if the Orioles can move on.

Baltimore let an early lead slip away before falling to Colorado Friday, 8-6, on a walkoff Trevor Story home run. The Orioles were up early, 5-1, and late, 6-3 in the seventh, but couldn’t prevent the familiar ending.

They have a chance to even the series tonight, however, and will send Andrew Cashner to the mound to do it. The righthander is 4-2 with a 4.14 ERA, and has posted three straight quality starts.

The Rockies will counter with Kyle Freeland, who is 2-5 with a 6.02 ERA. The lefty’s coming off a tough outing against the Phillies, during which he went only 1.2 innings and gave up three earned runs.

Of note: Jonathan Villar is batting out of his customary leadoff spot, and has been moved down to second. Hanser Alberto will lead off instead.
