The Blue Jays will send Marcus Stroman to the hill tonight. His season has been trending down in a few ways every month of the season so far. In April/March his ERA and WHIP were 1.43 and 1.08, respectively. In May those numbers rose to 4.31 and 1.62, and in 12 innings in June he’s got a 6.39 ERA along with a more reasonable 1.26 WHIP. In his lone start against the O’s this year, Stroman scattered nine hits over 5.2 innings, allowing two runs while striking out five and walking one.

The Orioles will counter with Gabriel Ynoa. In just three starts this year — the first being May 27 — he’s gone four, five and six innings while allowing three earned runs or fewer. In 13 career games (three starts) at Camden Yards, Ynoa is 2-1 with a 3.40 ERA and 1.28 WHIP.

On offense, Anthony Santander has been hot since his recall from Triple-A, and he will hit second tonight. Chance Sisco will bat cleanup once again and be behind the plate. Also, Chris Davis returns to the lineup so we’ll get to see his more of his new batting stance.
