Orioles starter Asher Wojciechowski has faced Washington on two occasions in his career, pitching a total of seven innings while allowing one run, two hits, three walks and eight strikeouts. This will be his third start with the Birds. How long will he be able to gut it out and spare the bullpen tonight?

The Nationals have decided on 27-year-old right-hander Austin Voth to start game one of this series at Camden Yards. In the past year and a half he’s got 27 total major league innings with the Nats, pitching to a 6.57 ERA in 12.1 innings last year and a 5.52 ERA in 14.2 innings so far this year. He’s got a decent 9.0 career SO/9 and 3.1 BB/9 in a very small sample size. In his most recent start, he allowed four earned runs in 4.1 innings against the Royals with three walks and six strikeouts.

In Baltimore’s lineup, Anthony Santander is batting fifth and making his four appearance (third start) of the season in center field. Renato Nunez, who’s hitting .290/.333/.645 the last 14 days, is holding down the cleanup spot. Meanwhile, Trey Mancini and Dwight Smith Jr. will look to break out of their respective slumps.
