After dropping the first two games, the O’s can end up splitting with their neighbors to the north with a win today.

The Orioles stumbled in the first two games of this four-game set with Toronto, but after winning Saturday night, a split is within reach with a win this afternoon.

Baltimore fell 11-2 on Thursday, then lost 5-2 on Friday, but pulled itself together to take a 6-4 win last night.

Now, Jimmy Yacabonis will take the mound to start - or, open - for the Orioles. It will be his second appearance of the series; he pitched an inning of relief in Thursday’s game and got hammered, allowing four hits (including a home run), two walks and four earned runs.

He’ll be hoping for better luck for however long he’s in the game today. He’s 1-2 with a 7.34 ERA, and will be making his first start since the 16-inning game with the Angels on July 25, when he went two innings and allowed one run on one hit. He’s never reached three innings in a start, so this will be a bullpen game.

Countering him will be Sean Reid-Foley, the former second-round pick who’s impressed in small doses for the Jays this season. He’s 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA, and will be making just his fourth start of the season today. His last one came on July 30, when he tossed five scoreless innings against the Royals despite allowing four hits and walking four. He also struck out four batters.

Notes on the Orioles lineup: Jonathan Villar and Hanser Alberto swap spots, with Villar going from the sixth spot to leadoff and Alberto sliding to sixth. Alberto also goes from third base to second, Villar goes from second to short, Jace Peterson is in the lineup at third base and Chance Sisco gets the start behind the plate and batting seventh.
