Camden Chat’s 2020 pre-season contest

Things are weird in sports and the world right now, but at least we have the pre-season contest!

It’s time for the annual Camden Chat pre-season contest! Right now things are crazy in the world, and that counts in the sporting world. The NBA season was just canceled. Other tournaments and leagues might follow suit soon, or at the very least play without fans and possibly in strange locations.

But for now the pre-season contest will go on! Surely some baseball will be played in 2020, even if doesn’t happen in two weeks as originally planned. So read the questions below, answer them to the best of your ability, and cross your fingers for a win!

If you’re new to the contest, it’s simple: Answer 30 Orioles-related questions across five categories, then sit back and wait for the Orioles to provide the answers. The questions are developed every year by myself, Mark Brown, Paul Folkemer, and Camden Chatters like you!

There are two frequently asked questions for this contest, so here are the answers:

  • If a player is traded mid-season, only his stats as an Oriole will count for this contest.
  • A series must run two games to be eligible for a sweep. So two-game series count, and three-game series where one game is postponed counts. Series that are reduced to one game due to weather or other events are not eligible.

If you have any other questions, please leave them in the comments.

You’ll find the questions embedded below. If you cannot see the form, you can also access it here.

The contest will close at the stroke of midnight on Opening Day (or whenever the first baseball game is played). Good luck!
