With baseball still being played despite positive COVID-19 tests being reported now on the Cardinals as well as the Marlins, the Tampa Bay Rays have arrived in Baltimore to play a three-game series.
The Rays are, like nearly all of the other teams in baseball, better than the Orioles. Tyler Young previewed the Rays broke down the series matchups in his series preview, so be sure to check it out.
Pitching for the Orioles tonight is Alex Cobb, who put up an impressive performance against the Red Sox last weekend. He’ll be facing his former team tonight and hopefully he has that splitter working again.
The Orioles will face Blake Snell, who I still accidentally call Ian 50% of the time. Blake is looking to get back to that 2018 form when he had just a 1.89 ERA and won the Cy Young award. The O’s will try to keep him from that.
If you’re wondering about Chris Davis, he is with the team after a sinus infection set him back for a few days. In the age of COVID, a sinus infection requires secrecy just in case, but he is doing better. He is not the lineup, although he does say that he’s availble to...pinch hit?
