Tuesday night Orioles game thread: vs. Blue Jays, 7:35

Can the Orioles get back in the win column?

MLB: Washington Nationals at Baltimore Orioles Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The surprising Orioles have come back to earth of late, losing three of their last four games. They’re still in a an okay position, standings-wise, but need to right the ship ASAP.

Will that start tonight? We can only hope so. They’ll need good pitching from Wade LeBlanc and an offense that can overpower rookie Nate Pearson. Pearson was the Jays’ first-round pick in 2017 and was ranked ninth on’s Top 100 list this year. So he’s pretty good. But he has struggled this year over his three starts, so maybe the Orioles will prevail.

(I feel like they won’t)

Orioles Lineup

  1. Chance Sisco, DH (what?)
  2. Anthony Santander, RF
  3. Rio Ruiz, 3B
  4. Renato Núñez, 1B
  5. Pedro Severino, C
  6. Dwight Smith, Jr., LF
  7. Pat Valaika, 2B
  8. Cedric Mullins, CF
  9. Andrew Velazquez, SS

SP: Wade LeBlanc (1-0, 7.13 ERA)
