Not many expected the Orioles to jump out to a 5-3 start this season. Even fewer expected Baltimore to drop four games in three days against a makeshift Marlins squad. I guess that’s why they play the games.
The Orioles will look to bounce back in the first of a three game series in Washington. For more about the Nationals, check out Harrison Jozwiak’s opponent preview from earlier today.
Rio Ruiz is back in the lineup after nursing a sore shoulder the last few days. José Iglesias is back at short, and Pedro Severino will be behind the plate.
Opening Day starter Tommy Milone will take the ball for the Birds. The Orioles offense exploded for seven runs yesterday, and the run support would go a long way for Milone today.
Can Baltimore snap a four game losing streak? Let’s find out together.
