It is Friday evening.

The Orioles showed up on Opening Day ready to play, turning in a solid team-wide effort in a 3-0 win over the Red Sox. John Means pitched seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit and a walk, in what’s one of the best Opening Day starts an Orioles pitcher has ever made. Ryan Mountcastle put the O’s on the board with a two-run bases loaded double off the Green Monster, and in the ninth inning, 36-year-old César Valdez, making his first career Opening Day roster, picked up the save.
