John Means will return to the mound after a full week of rest. The Orioles provided Means a few extra days after some long and dominant performances. Means kept the Mets off the scoreboard for six innings his last time out. His 1.21 ERA leads the American League.

Means should provide a breath of fresh air for Baltimore. An Orioles pitcher has not worked more than two innings since Friday. Yes, the bullpen could use a break.

O’s’ skipper Brandon Hyde penciled Trey Mancini into the DH spot tonight. Ryan Mountcastle will play first base, while Cedric Mullins, Austin Hays and rookie Ryan McKenna play the outfield.

Pedro Severino will bat cleanup and serve as the battery mate to Means. Maikel Franco and Freddy Galvis will handle the left side of the infield, while Pat Valaika plays second base.
