Wednesday night Orioles game thread: vs. Mets, 7:05

Matt Harvey takes on his former team as the Orioles look to build on a pair of impressive performances at the plate.

Matt Harvey received a nice ovation in his return to Citi Field earlier this year. Mets fans showed appreciation for his previous success in New York. They also appreciated his seven earned runs in 4.1 innings. Harvey will get another shot against his former team tonight— this time with fans in black and orange cheering him on.

Baltimore fans have received a rare treat after a brutal stretch to start the season. The Orioles would complete the current homestand with a 6-2 record with a victory tonight.

Cedric Mullins will look to continue his hot hitting atop the lineup tonight. He will be joined in the outfield by Anthony Santander and DJ Stewart. Ryan Mountcastle will serve as the designated hitter.

Trey Mancini will bat second and play first base. Stevie Wilkerson gets the nod at second with Freddy Galvis and Maikel Franco rounding out the infield. Austin Wynns will catch Harvey.

A victory tonight would make up for a two-game sweep and even the season series against New York. The Orioles have combined for 28 runs over the last two games. Are they due to slow down or just getting started?
