Triple-A: Gwinnett Stripers (Braves) 7, Norfolk Tides 1

Robert Neustrom’s inside-the-park home run in the fourth inning was all that prevented the Tides from being shut out.

Neustrom finished with two hits, and is batting .300 with a 1.041 OPS. Cody Roberts had two doubles, and Tyler Nevin had a double.

Claudio Custodio started and went three innings for the Tides, allowing five runs and seeing his record fall to 1-1. He has a 4.33 ERA.

Double-A: Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies) 13, Bowie Baysox 6

The Baysox were hanging close down 5-3, but a five-run sixth for Hartford blew the game wide open.

Kyle Stowers hit a two-run homer as part of a 1-for-4 day, and Patrick Dorrian’s 13th long ball, a three-run shot, was one of his two hits. Greg Cullen went 2-for-3 with two runs, while Adley Rutschman went 1-for-3 with two walks. Cadyn Grenier had a tough game, going 1-for-4 but striking out three times.

The loss went to Blaine Knight, who allowed five runs on eight hits in four innings.

High-A: Hudson Valley Renegades (Yankees) 10, Aberdeen IronBirds 8

Three runs in the first and two in the second put the IronBirds in a hole from which they could not escape.

Connor Gillispie was saddled with the decision, allowing five runs (four earned) in two innings.

Despite the loss, the top of the IronBirds’ lineup did well. Jordan Westburg and Gunnar Henderson, batting leadoff and second, finished 3-for-5 with a run and 2-for-5 with a run, RBI and two doubles, respectively. Willy Yahn hit his first home run in Norfolk, while A.J. Graffanino, Shayne Fontana (three hits), Andrew Daschbach and Trevor Kehe had doubles.

Low-A: Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) 8, Delmarva Shorebirds 3

The Shorebirds scored two in the fourth to even the score and took a 2-2 tie into the seventh, only for Lynchburg to take command with two runs in the seventh, three in the eighth and one in the ninth.

Catcher Ryne Ogren homered for the Shorebirds, while Darell Hernaiz had a double. Mason Janvrin went 1-for-4 with a run as the Delmarva bats were largely silenced.

Jake Lyons had a solid start for the Shorebirds, allowing two runs in six innings of work. He allowed two runs on six hits in six innings while striking out five.
