Triple-A: Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Marlins) 4, Norfolk Tides 3

Manny Barreda surrendered a pair of runs in the eighth inning that eventually did in the Tides. Ofelky Peralta allowed two runs in five innings, and Cesar Valdez tossed two scoreless frames.

Richie Martin finished 2-2 with a pair of walks and his first home run at Triple-A. Adley Rutschman went 1-3 with a double, and Ryan McKenna reached base three times. Rylan Bannon finished 1-5, while Tyler Nevin, Robert Neustrom and Pat Valaika each recorded a hit.

Double-A: Bowie Baysox 8, Erie SeaWolves (Tigers) 6

Kyle Stowers ripped not one but two home runs to deep center field. The blasts marked his 19th and 20th home runs on the season, and the second blast provided the Baysox the lead for good in the eighth inning. Zach Watson also went deep in the game. Patrick Dorrian finished 3-3 with 3 runs scored and also walked. Terrin Vavra and Andrew Daschbach both doubled.

Zac Lowther started and allowed two runs over four innings. The rehabbing lefty allowed five hits, walked one and struck out four. Logan Gillaspie struck out four and gave up a run in two innings, and Diogenes Almengo picked up his ninth save at Double-A.

High-A: Aberdeen IronBirds 12, Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) 5

Noah Syndergaard made a rehab start tonight for Brooklyn. The All-Star pitcher worked just one inning, but one Aberdeen player introduced himself to the ace from New York. Lamar Sparks took Syndergaard deep on an 0-2 count. Cristopher Cespedes and Jean Carmona also went deep. Carmona’s blast marked his first at High-A.

Unfortunately, Aberdeen announced today that Hudson Haskin fractured his thumb and is done for the season. Haskin slashed .274/.379/.404 between Delmarva and Aberdeen.

Low-A: Delmarva Shorebirds 6, Salem Red Sox 3

Jake Lyons started and limited Salem to just one hit through five innings. Lyons, a 22nd-round pick in 2019, struck out six and walked two batters. No Delmarva pitchers were charged with an earned run after a throwing error in the seventh and a fielding error in the ninth.

Collin Burns and Billy Cook both finished 2-4 from the top of the order. Colton Cowser went 2-4, and Coby Mayo doubled but did strike out twice. Darrell Hernaiz, a fifth round pick in 2019, tallied three hits from the nine-hole.
