Triple-A: Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Marlins) 4, Norfolk Tides 3

A run in the sixth and two in the seventh put Jacksonville up 4-1, and Norfolk tried to rally back with a Pat Valaika two-run single in the ninth but fell just short.

While Valaika was the lone Tide batter to drive in two, the only one with two hits was Adley Rutschman, who upped his Triple-A average to .371 by going 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Richie Martin and Tyler Nevin singled for the other Norfolk hits, while No. 12 prospect Yusniel Diaz, who probably just wants this year to be over at this point, was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and is batting .164.

Dean Kremer looked sharp in the start, pitching four innings while allowing one run on four hits and lowering his ERA to 5.96. The loss went to No. 8 prospect Kyle Bradish, who allowed three runs on six hits in three innings of relief.

Double-A: Bowie Baysox 6, Erie SeaWolves (Tigers) 5

Anyone who digs the long ball had a good time at Prince George’s Stadium Sunday, as the Baysox hit four home runs to outlast the SeaWolves in Bowie.

Kyle Stowers, Andrew Daschbach (2-for-4, double), Zach Watson (2-for-4) and Chris Hudgins swatted the home runs, while Johnny Rizer went 2-for-4 with a double. Cadyn Grenier also doubled, and No. 6 prospect Jordan Westburg had a single.

Drew Rom started for Bowie and went four innings, allowing three runs on six hits. He struck out three and allowed a home run. Logan Gillaspie pitched a scoreless inning of relief, and Garrett Stallings picked up the win after allowing two runs in four innings.

High-A: Aberdeen IronBirds 5, Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) 1

Jake Prizina delivered a strong start for the IronBirds, going five innings and allowing only one run on two hits while striking out five.

AJ Graffanino, TT Bowens and Willy Yahn had two hits apiece, with Yahn going deep for the lone IronBird homer. Yahn and Cristopher Cespedes each had two RBI.

No. 4 prospect Gunnar Henderson went 1-for-4 in the win, while No. 15 prospect Adam Hall went 1-for-5 with an RBI.

Low-A: Salem Red Sox 10, Delmarva Shorebirds 2, 7 inn.

Salem buried Delmarva early, scoring two runs in the second, three in the third and two more in the fourth en route to the win.

Collin Burns, Jacob Teter and Mason Janvrin had two hits apiece for the Shorebirds, with Teter and Burns picking up doubles. Connor Norby, the team’s No. 9 prospect, went 0-for-3.

Houston Roth took the loss with five runs allowed in 1.2 innings. Leonardo Rodriguez allowed three in 1.2 innings, and Daniel Lloyd allowed two in one.
