Triple-A: Norfolk Tides 8, Charlotte Knights (White Sox) 4- F/7 Game 1

Norfolk jumped out to an early lead with a three-run first inning. Kyle Stowers got the party started with an RBI single, and Zach Jarrett plated two more with a single of his own. Jarrett drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth and finished 1-2 with a walk. Stowers went 3-4 and scored twice.

The Tides added three more in the third on singles by Robert Neustrom and J.C. Escarra. Norfolk scored their sixth run on a wild pitch. Adley Rutschman finished 1-3 with a walk and two runs scored, while Yusniel Diaz went 0-3.

Bruce Zimmermann made another rehab start and tossed four innings. Zimmermann allowed two runs on four hits, struck out six, and did not walk a batter. Ofelky Peralta notched the win in relief after allowing two runs in the final three innings.

Triple-A: Charlotte Knights (White Sox) 8, Norfolk Tides 7- F/7 Game 2

This time Charlotte struck first with three early runs, but Norfolk bounced back with a four-run third. Mason McCoy scored Brett Cumberland with a sacrifice fly to get the Tides on the board, and Rutschman reclaimed the lead with a three-run home run. Rutschman sent a ball the opposite way to deep left field. The blast marked his fifth home run at Triple-A.

Neustrom followed suit with another three-run blast in the fifth. The homer scored Rylan Bannon and Stowers and reclaimed the lead for Norfolk once again. Unfortunately, Charlotte jumped ahead for good with three runs in the sixth inning.

Kevin Smith allowed five runs in 2.1 innings, and Adam Plutko gave the game away with three runs in two-thirds of an inning.
