Apparently Ted Keith appreciates the comment, "Everyone can start wetting themselves now." He linked to it in his most recent Power Rankings. Looks like it has been a good week for Camden Chatters.

"I’ll just attack the strike zone and keep the ball down," said Dontrelle Willis, Detroit’s starting pitcher Friday. "If he hits three home runs, I might have to change it."

WHEN Matt Wieters hits 3 HRs, D-Train, it's WHEN.

Welcome To The Show, David Hernandez

From Fangraphs. Someone actually suggests watching an Orioles game Hernandez is one of those divisive prospects who puts up numbers that dwarf his physical abilities. His numbers, especially the strikeout rates, are ridiculous. In 2007, he posted a 10.4 K/9 in High-A ball. Last year, he put up a 10.6 K/9 in Double-A. This year, he's up to 12.46 K/9 in Triple-A. He's consistently been at the top of the league leaderboards in strikeouts at every rung of the ladder. However, the reaction from scouts has been relatively mild. He was a 16th round pick in 2005, and even with his minor league dominance, Baseball America left him out of the Orioles Top 10 prospects over the winter. The concerns have mostly centered around questionable command of a four seam fastball and a lack of a third pitch. His slider is definitely an out pitch, and it's the reason for his crazy strikeout rate, but heavy reliance on a breaking ball will get scouts talking bullpen very quickly.

I watched Sportscenter and saw it on there. That was pretty fun to see myself on Sportscenter. It was a special moment for me and we got the victory, too.

Nice to see that cutting 60% of your staff in 10 years does nothing to hurt the quality of your work. Seriously, guys? EDIT: I'm willing to bet that the photo comes from this game. June 25 vs. the Yankees, Damon scores the winning run in the bottom of the 10th on a walkoff walk. That took me about two minutes to find on B-R.
