World Series Game 4 Thread: Royals (2-1) @ Giants (1-2), 8:07

The World Series continues. The Orioles continue to not be in the World Series.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Coasting along through the regular season and then waking up for the playoffs is supposed to be the province of NBA teams or something. The Royals have found a way to do so over a 162-game season, which is actually kind of impressive. Bumble along under the guidance of a laissez-faire manager who doesn't bother to police his troops, has only a vague awareness of how to properly use bullpen arms, but then who gives a crap about all of that when he can call on like four guys who throw 100?

Maybe the Giants will fare better than the Orioles did against Jason Vargas. Maybe they will actually hit balls that fall in and maybe they won't have some kind of obscenely poor fluke play go against them. Or maybe they're only going to win one more game than the Orioles did against the Royals, which would not be surprising because it's not like they play real baseball in the National League anyway.
