Wednesday Bird Droppings

It's an exciting day in Birdland. Not only has everyone reported for Spring Training, but two new birds could be in the nest as early as today. They just have to pass that pesky physical.

The Orioles are keeping busy as spring approaches. The latest on Yovani Gallardo is that the Orioles saw something in the MRI of his shoulder that needs additional testing. They could get those test results today. As for Dexter Fowler, he will take his physcial soon and hopefully join his new teammates in Sarasota ASAP.

Grading the Offseasons for All 30 Teams | FanGraphs Baseball
Fangraphs doesn't love the Orioles' offseason, and that's factoring in Fowler and Gallardo. Still, there are a few teams ranked higher than Baltimore despite getting noticeably worse this offseason (the Nationals come to mind).

Is today your birthday? Happy birthday! Your have three birthday Orioles birthday buddies, including the coolest man to ever don the orange and black, Mr. Eddie Murray. The Hall of Famer is celebrating his 60th birthday today. Also born on this day are Chris "Chicken Parm" Parmelee, who is 28 years old, and Gustavo Molina, who turns 34. Molina was a catcher for the Orioles in 2007, but he's not one of the Catching Molinas.

That's it, folks. Have a great Wednesday.
